Description
The Product Strategy Intern will support Software Development, Engineering, Scrum management, DevOps, Quality Assurance/Application Testing, and Business Analysis efforts. This role contributes to the Product Strategy team's mission of delivering applications and functionality that enables Vizo Financial's members and internal users to perform their responsibilities effectively.
This part-time position is primarily work from home. However, the candidate may be asked to attend in-office meetings once every one to two weeks. Candidate must reside within commuting distance of our Middletown, PA office (1201 Fulling Mill Road, Suite 200, Middletown, PA 17057).
Requirements
The Position: The ideal candidate should have basic understanding of programming concepts and data structures (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or similar). Familiarity with software development practices through coursework or personal projects. Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git) and development environments (IDEs) is preferred but not required. Foundational debugging, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with Development, QA, and Business Analysis teams to support the design, building, debugging, testing, and deployment of internal and external applications.
  • Assist Solution Architects and the broader development team in designing and documenting scalable solutions aligned with business needs. Contribute to technology evaluations, prototyping efforts, and the translation of requirements into technical specifications. Support testing, troubleshooting, and refinement to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Partner with the Scrum Manager and development team to organize, track, and prioritize tasks and progress. Help prepare for agile ceremonies, capture key notes, and maintain clear, up-to-date project documentation. Assist in identifying and communicating risks or blockers to keep work on schedule.
  • Continuously learn and stay current with emerging technologies, with a focus on trends in the financial sector, including fintech, digital payments, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Apply this knowledge to contribute ideas and support informed decision-making.

Seeking candidates with:
  • College student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related degree program.

Salary Range: $18 - $20 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 15 - 25 hours per week
