Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-senior level Java Engagement Manager / Delivery Manager with a strong blend of technical expertise and delivery leadership to manage end-to-end program execution for a leading banking client. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in Java-based enterprise systems, AWS cloud platforms, and banking domain delivery, along with the ability to drive client engagement and program success.

This role requires someone who can balance technical oversight, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence, while also contributing to presales opportunities when needed.


Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Engagement Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale Java and cloud-based programs in the banking domain.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring strong relationship management and client satisfaction.
  • Drive project planning, execution, risk mitigation, and governance.
  • Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery aligned with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Manage distributed teams across geographies.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide architectural and technical oversight for applications built on Java/J2EE frameworks.
  • Guide teams on modern development practices including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Ensure adoption of best practices in coding, security, performance tuning, and scalability.
  • Oversee cloud implementation and migration initiatives using AWS.

Banking Domain Expertise

  • Work on banking systems including core banking, payments, lending, or digital channels.
  • Understand regulatory requirements, security, and compliance relevant to financial services.
  • Provide domain-aware solutions and decision-making.

Presales & Solutioning (Good to Have)

  • Support RFP/RFI responses and proposal creation.
  • Participate in solution design, estimation, and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, transformation, and innovation within the account.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor technical and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business, architecture, and operations teams.
  • Drive performance management and team development.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 9โ€“17 years of IT experience with strong exposure to Java technologies.
  • Proven experience in delivery/engagement management roles.
  • Hands-on or strong technical understanding of:
  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
  • REST APIs and integration patterns
  • AWS cloud experience (mandatory):
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and managing applications on AWS
  • Familiarity with services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
  • Strong experience in Banking / Financial Services domain.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Good to Have

  • Presales/solutioning experience.
  • Experience working with US banking clients.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
