Union Home Mortgageโ€™s L.E.A.D Internship Programโ€™s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.ย

The Internal Audit Intern will report to the Internal Audit Team Lead and will have the opportunity to be a productive member of the Department. Using the 13-Step Audit Methodology, the candidate willย  learn how to conduct audits from start to finish. Complete audit testing as assigned. Opportunity to work with various areas of the company. Collaborate with other departments and leaders to implement corrective action.ย 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Learn and apply internal audit methodology.ย 

  • Conduct audit testing.ย 

  • Create/update audit scope and testing plans to ensure internal controls are functioning as intended.ย ย 

  • Research assignments.ย 

  • Prepare the audit report at the conclusion of a project by accurately stating findings and observations and providing suggested corrective action.ย ย

  • College student with an Accounting, Business, Law or Finance major, or has an interest in Internal Audit.ย 

  • Junior or Senior Standingย
