Job description


Position Title: Plant Integration Engineer (Test Abstracts and Specifications)
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Plant Integration Engineer (Test Abstracts and Specifications) opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the liaison between reactor/plant design groups and the Commissioning/Operations team.
  • Coordinates creation of test abstracts and test specifications by design groups to support the commissioning/startup operations team developing test procedures
  • Develops and trains system design engineers on how author test abstracts and test specifications. Work with design groups to populate this information
  • Supports procedure management and schedule
  • Drive appropriate cross-discipline review and approval of test specification to ensure all required test data can be obtained to demonstrate system quality and functionality
  • Ensure test documentation is completed in a timely manner, collaborating with engineering teams to facilitate timely resolution of challenges and inputs
  • In coordination with Operations, develop and implement testing strategies that encompass functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing
  • Participate in design reviews to provide early feedback on testability and quality

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in hardware testing or reactor/reactor plant testing
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation such as abstracts, specifications and procedures, when necessary
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience with design engineering and systems engineering
  • Understands startup test programs and inputs needed to support a startup test plan and requisite procedures
  • Ability to review design documents and translate into test specifications
  • Project coordination, project management experience.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of commercial nuclear and/or naval nuclear power
  • Familiarity with startup testing approaches, tools and processes
  • Knowledge of Equipment Qualification process/requirements/program
  • Understanding of systems engineering and requirements verification and validation.
  • Travel Required: 0-5%
