About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software that thoughtfully integrates AI/ML capabilities into real-world products. In this role, you will own technical delivery end-to-end, from shaping the architecture of ML-powered applications to leading implementation across cloud services, APIs, and modern front-end frameworks.
 
You will act as the technical backbone of your project pod, balancing hands-on development work with technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and client-facing collaboration. You'll lead epic-level solution design, mentor developers, contribute to shared internal frameworks, and help shape how we evaluate and deploy emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Reduced Project Risk: Technical risks on projects are significantly reduced through proactive ownership of epic-level technical design, execution, and cross-team dependency resolution.
  • Improved Technical Decision-Making: The team makes better technology choices through thorough research, evaluation, and documentation of potential solutions.
  • Stronger Client Confidence: Client and stakeholder confidence is increased by leading technical discovery sessions and acting as a technical SME during project discussions.
  • Feature & Epic Implementation: Leads implementation for features spanning multiple user stories or services.
  • Architecture & Solution Design: Leads the architecture design for moderately complex solutions, often involving multiple services or systems, and chairs technical reviews.
  • Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provides technical leadership within the pod, mediates code review disputes, contributes new features to shared AltaML libraries and assists in the hiring process by conducting technical interviews. Coordinating the work of other engineers.
  • Client Engagement & Discovery: Leads technical discovery sessions with clients to clarify requirements and define technical scope.
  • Testing & Quality Strategy: Implements higher-level testing strategies, such as integration and end to end tests for deployed solutions.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Software Development, or similar
  • 4+ years of experience as a full stack developer
  • Proven skills at taking ideas from conception to production
  • Strong working experience with Cloud Services (Ideally Azure)
  • Strong working experience in a modern object-oriented language
  • Strong working experience writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Experience Unit and API testing (eg. xUnit, Postman, or others)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Docker
  • Proficiency with Version Control systems (VCS)
Nice to Have's:
  • Experience with cloud-based document processing and intelligence tools such as Azure Document Intelligence
  • Experience with serverless computing and workflow orchestration frameworks such as Azure Durable Functions
  • Experience working in python
  • Experience working in React
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools and taking solutions from 0 to 1
  • Experience developing applications using an LLM/ML APIs
  • Experience with technologies like LangChain, Autogen,  and VectorDBs 
  • Experience building plugins/integrations on third-party platforms
  • Experience with Azure Cloud platform to build and deploy products
  • Build functional prototypes to test ideas and hypotheses quickly, ensuring fast iteration and feedback cycles.
