Job description

Summary:

The non-clinical intern will participate in cross-functional team projects and interact frequently with team members. The incumbent will attend and participate in meetings as appropriate to obtain knowledge and experience of Baystate Health and of their department.

Job Responsibilities:

1)Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present the final project during the internship. Have the ability to learn and understand programming languages in a clinical environment.

2) Provides suggestions to management regarding improvements as appropriate

3)Actively participates in department meetings

4) Engages with team members and takes on tasks as assigned

Required Work Experience:

1) As required by the hiring manager

Preferred Work Experience:

1)Prior industry experience or educational background is preferred

Skills and Competencies:

Have the ability to learn and understand programming languages in a clinical environment.

Demonstrate attention to detail in the system documentation.

Demonstrate an ability to think critically and apply it to system development activities.

Demonstrate an engagement in the experiences being offered as well as the material being presented as a part of this internship.

Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
