Job description

Soccer Operations Internship 2026
Hartford Athletic is in search of 4 - 6 interns who will provide direct support to the 1st Team and Technical Staff for the 2026 USL Championship season. Each intern will serve a vital role in daily operations, facility management, data and analytics, and all team services. This position will be directly supervised by the Director of Soccer Operations and report to the assistant coaches as needed. The schedule is totally dependent upon the 1st team schedule and league schedule. Interns will be required to work all home matches during the 2025 season. These positions are open to season long or for a certain semester (spring, summer, fall) depending on your academic needs.
Core Duties -
  1. Team Operations - field set up, equipment set up, and on field management during training sessions.
  2. Team Meals - assist in set up, break down, and delivering to sites.
  3. Facility Operations - schedule management for both Day Hill Dome and Trinity Health Stadium, locker room set up and break down, and other duties assigned.
  4. Travel - assist in team packing, transportation, and tasks assigned by Technical Staff while team is on the road.
  5. Team Administration - manage team files, update team platforms, and internal or external communication as needed.
  6. Data and Analytics/Sports Science - Basic on field metrics and data collection.

Ideal Candidate -
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and previous experience within a professional or college sports setting.
  • Strong desire to improve operations, administrative, and team atmosphere experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information within a professional environment.
  • Strong attention to details and the ability to be a self-motivator when working on duties assigned.
  • A firm understanding of the importance of punctuality and time management.
  • Has availability either in the mornings or the afternoons. Ideal schedule: Mornings - 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM or Afternoons 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This is an unpaid internship for the 2026 season, with the opportunity to earn college credit as needed per individuals program requirements. Each candidate will be asked to have their own transportation to and from the team facilities. All applicants will be reviewed and considered based upon the information provided.
