Company Description Professor Posture is a corrective posture therapy practice focused on teaching individuals how to take control of their own well-being. The practice helps clients retrain their muscles to move freely and safely, reducing pain and preventing future issues. Using a holistic approach, Professor Posture combines advanced therapeutic techniques, ergonomic guidance, and personalized exercise programs to address postural imbalances at their root. The team is committed to creating a supportive environment with open communication between therapists and clients, tailoring treatment plans to each personโ€™s unique needs and goals.
Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Intern for Corrective Posture Therapy role based in Tampa, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support therapists in preparing and organizing session materials, documenting client progress, and maintaining a clean and welcoming treatment space. Daily tasks may include assisting with posture assessments under supervision, demonstrating or explaining basic exercises, and helping clients follow ergonomic and movement guidance. The intern will also contribute to educational materials, such as handouts or digital resources, and may help with scheduling, follow-up communications, and basic administrative tasks as needed. Training and supervision will be provided, with opportunities to observe sessions and learn corrective posture therapy methods.
Qualifications
  • Interest or coursework in fields such as kinesiology, physical therapy, exercise science, occupational therapy, sports medicine, or related health disciplines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen carefully, explain concepts clearly, and interact respectfully with clients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills for documenting client information, managing schedules, and keeping treatment and office areas orderly.
  • Comfort with basic body mechanics and exercise instruction; ability to learn and model proper posture and movement under supervision.
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintaining records, creating simple educational materials, and handling email or scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professional conduct, and the ability to follow clinical guidelines and confidentiality requirements.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate within a small, client-focused therapeutic team.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it is a plus; prior experience in a clinical, fitness, or wellness setting is beneficial but not required.
