Position Summary:
Loop Capital Asset Management (LCAM) is a registered investment advisor specializing in institutional fixed income account management. At LCAM, we are responsible for directing the investment of fixed income assets on behalf of institutional clients in order to meet their specific return and risk objectives.
We are seeking a rotational summer internship analyst with a desire to learn all areas of the asset management business. If selected, candidates will gain exposure to portfolio management, research, trading, securities operations, compliance and business development. There will be little distinction between student interns and full-time employees. Students will interact with portfolio managers, traders and research analysts daily and will be expected to participate as part of the investment team. The internship will culminate with a presentation to current employees and managers of Loop Capital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information to prepare financial models/valuation analyses in conjunction with senior research analysts.
  • Support trading staff with transaction execution and best execution analysis across all fixed income products.
  • Work with senior portfolio managers to conduct economic and technical analysis for the development of the firm's broad portfolio structure.
  • Maintain and update contact management systems, internal databases relating to the preparation of new business, marketing and client presentations.
  • Work with the head of compliance and operations on risk procedures, client accounting and securities settlements.
  • Support staff on various bespoke projects.

Qualifications:
  • Enrollment as a rising college Junior or Senior in Summer of 2026 with a record of high academic achievement in a financial or mathematical discipline.
  • Interested in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with the ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Bloomberg preferred.
  • Strong quantitative background.
  • Attention to detail, mindfulness, initiative and enthusiasm.
