Job description

A leading wealth advisory firm is seeking a Temporary Trust & Estate Planning Attorney to provide consultative estate planning support for high-net-worth clients. This role is focused on reviewing existing estate planning documents, educating clients on their plans, and helping identify potential planning considerations. The attorney will work closely with Wealth Advisors to enhance the client experience and support comprehensive wealth planning discussions.


Responsibilities:

  • Review clients' existing estate planning documents (trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, etc.).
  • Identify potential gaps, inconsistencies, or areas that may warrant review or updating.
  • Provide general observations and recommendations regarding estate planning considerations.
  • Suggest when clients should consult outside estate planning counsel for document amendments or updates.
  • Collaborate closely with Wealth Advisors before client meetings to understand the client relationship and objectives.
  • Support advisors by helping clients better understand their estate plans and overall wealth transfer strategies.
  • Communicate diplomatically when discussing recommended changes or potential shortcomings in existing documents.
