The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a Social Media & Photography Intern who supports the Campus Store's marketing efforts by creating engaging visual content that promotes products, events, and the overall campus experience. This position is responsible for capturing photography and video, developing content for social media platforms, assisting with content planning, and maintaining a consistent brand presence across digital channels. The intern works collaboratively with the marketing team to produce creative, timely, and relevant content that engages students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors.

Responsibilities
Capture high-quality photographs and video of merchandise, campus events, and store activities.
Edit and prepare photos and videos for use in digital marketing, social media, websites, and promotional materials.
Create engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other emerging channels.
Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing social media content in accordance with the marketing calendar.
Maintain an organized library of digital media assets.
Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to increase audience interaction.
Ensure all content aligns with Campus Store branding, messaging, and visual standards.
Assist with promotional campaigns, special events, product launches, and seasonal marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with Campus Store departments to identify content opportunities and highlight campus partnerships.
Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student.
Preferences
Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Photography, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience creating photography, video, or social media content through coursework, employment, or personal portfolio.
Experience managing social media accounts for an organization, student group, or business.
Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
Familiarity with social media analytics and content performance metrics.
