About the Role: Job SummaryThe GI/Renal Unit is a 25-bed nursing unit with four rooms designed for semi-private occupancy. It is a medical/surgical unit designated to care for patients with renal and gastroenterological illnesses, as well as other general medical patients in times of high census. As the designated renal medical unit, their specialty is caring for patients that require Peritoneal Dialysis and is the preferred unit for these patients to be placed if clinically appropriate. Care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses and symptoms, including but not limited to:

Rhabdomyolysis * Acute kidney injury
