Job description

Our client is a growing, design-led architectural studio operating across Western Canada, delivering a diverse portfolio across multi-family, high-end residential, and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intern Architect with excellent design skills to step into a highly involved, leadership-track role, working closely with the Principal across design, coordination, and project delivery. The role suits someone who is equally comfortable contributing to design direction and hands-on documentation, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to design development and documentation across multiple active projects
  • Support and help lead project delivery alongside the Principal Architect
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination
  • Coordinate with consultants and support ongoing project communication
  • Assist with bylaw and building code reviews, ensuring compliance across project stages
  • Prepare and review drawing packages, including DP-level documentation where required
  • Support continuous improvement of internal workflows, processes, and documentation standards
  • Explore and integrate emerging tools and technologies to enhance project delivery
  • Contribute across both design direction and production, maintaining a balance between high-level thinking and hands-on execution

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within an architectural practice, eligible for or working towards registration with AAA or equivalent
  • Experience in residential (wood-frame) and/or commercial projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD an asset
  • Prior experience contributing across both design development and technical documentation, including drawing production
  • Solid understanding of building systems, with exposure to wood-frame construction
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and a confident communicator

In exchange for your hard work and commitment you will earn $60-80K (dependent on experience) + bonus potential, benefits and hybrid work environment (2 days WFH).
