Overview / Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be assigned to the civil engineering team in our Charlotte, Durham, or Wilmington North Carolina offices as a Fixed Term employee. Wood endeavors to maximize your learning experience by providing 'in-house' design related services, as well as 'field' observation. You will have the opportunity to engage with civil engineering project teams specializing in the public and private markets. Our goal is to provide you exposure to multiple disciplines and clientele to maximize your experience with us.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with civil engineering designs and construction documents
  • Assist with field observation of construction site
Skills / Qualifications
  • Junior year accredited college for Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in a team atmosphere
  • Willing to develop CAD standard detail libraries
  • Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to plan for team success
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Willingness to learn MicroStation, although proficiency is not required
