The Learn to Work program is based in Queens Academy High School. Students have the opportunity to work at the school before, during and after school. LTW program teaches students how to gain experience in the workforce in multiple fields
Job Responsibilities:Must be able to work as a team in a group/team setting
Responsible for taking care of school farm animals. This includes goats, chickens, bunny, and chinchilla.
Maintain the upkeep of school grounds
Plant and maintain school agriculture which includes greenhouses, hydroponics, and garden
Work closely with school administration, teachers, guidance counselors and school aides & staff
Assist with keeping school classrooms clean and organized on a daily basis
Keep school store clean, organized and fully stocked
Provide customer service while working the school store during lunch periods
Manage school store register, provide proper change and maintain receipts on a period by period basis
Finish tasks in a timely manner prior to clocking out of your shift
Attend Queens Academy High School
Maintain an attendance percentage of 80%
Must be passing all classes
Must arrive to school on time
Location: Queens Academy High School
Hours: 10-19 hours per week
