Job description

Design the next generation of beauty products that millions of consumers will see, touch, and use every day.

We're looking for a Senior Industrial Designer with significant experience in the beauty industry to help shape the future of an iconic global beauty brand. This is a highly visible role for a designer who understands that exceptional beauty packaging is where industrial design, engineering, brand storytelling, and consumer experience come together.

You'll lead the design and development of primary packaging from concept through production, creating innovative bottles, tubes, jars, pumps, caps, closures, applicators, compacts, and custom components that are both visually compelling and technically sound. Working closely with Product Development, Packaging Engineering, Marketing, Creative, and global manufacturing partners, you'll transform consumer insights into products that are beautiful, functional, manufacturable, and commercially successful.

Beyond structural packaging, you'll contribute to packaging graphics and support product launches with digital and e-commerce creative, ensuring a seamless consumer experience across retail, online, and social channels.

We're looking for a designer who understands the unique demands of beauty packaging and has successfully brought products to market. You know how products should feel in the consumer's hand, how they function, how they're manufactured, and how thoughtful design builds trust, communicates efficacy, and elevates the overall brand experience.

If you're passionate about creating innovative beauty products from the ground up and enjoy collaborating across creative, technical, and manufacturing teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

Primary Packaging & Structural Design
  • Lead the concept, sketching, and development of primary packaging and component forms from concept through production.
  • Design bottles, tubes, jars, pumps, caps, closures, compacts, applicators, and custom structural components that balance aesthetics, ergonomics, functionality, and manufacturability.
  • Create and refine 3D CAD models using Rhino, translating concepts into production-ready product designs.
  • Develop high-quality KeyShot renderings for presentations, concept validation, and executive reviews.
  • Explore innovative materials, finishes, coatings, textures, decoration techniques, and manufacturing processes.
  • Partner closely with Packaging Engineering, Product Development, and external vendors to ensure technical feasibility, tooling readiness, and production execution.
  • Prepare production-ready files, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Review prototypes, evaluate functionality and consumer usability, and refine designs through multiple development stages to final production.
  • Stay current on beauty trends, packaging innovation, sustainability, emerging materials, and manufacturing technologies.
Packaging Graphics & Brand Design
  • Design packaging graphics that clearly communicate product benefits while reinforcing the overall brand identity.
  • Develop cohesive visual systems across packaging, retail, and marketing materials.
  • Create original design solutions rooted in brand strategy and consumer insight.
  • Ensure consistency across all physical consumer touchpoints.
Digital & Product Launch Support
  • Support product launches by designing digital and e-commerce assets, including Product Detail Pages (PDPs), retail.com imagery, promotional graphics, launch assets, and digital marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure product storytelling translates seamlessly across retail, digital, and social channels.
  • Maintain visual consistency across physical packaging and digital consumer experiences.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Development, Packaging Engineering, Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, and global vendor partners throughout the product development process.
  • Present concepts, prototypes, renderings, mood boards, and design rationale with confidence and clarity.
  • Balance creative ambition with technical requirements, manufacturing constraints, budgets, and launch timelines.
  • Foster a collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovation-driven design culture.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing beauty packaging for cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrance, personal care, or prestige consumer brands.
  • A portfolio demonstrating primary beauty packaging from concept through production is required.
  • Demonstrated experience designing bottles, tubes, jars, pumps, closures, compacts, applicators, or other molded beauty packaging systems.
  • Experience preparing production-ready artwork, technical files, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong understanding of packaging development, tooling, manufacturing processes, decoration techniques, and print production.
  • Experience collaborating directly with Packaging Engineering, Product Development, manufacturers, vendors, and comp houses throughout the product development process.
  • Advanced proficiency in Rhino 3D, KeyShot, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop. Experience with Figma is a plus.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between structural packaging, packaging graphics, and digital product launch support.
