About the position

The Tax Intern position at Gulfstream Aerospace is designed for students pursuing a degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. The intern will work closely with the tax team to assist in various federal and state tax reporting processes, including indirect tax filings, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Corporate Taxation within a leading aerospace company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of Federal Tax Returns and supporting tax adjustments
  • Assist with the preparation of property tax and sales tax returns
  • Partner with the accounting team to assist in the monthly closing process, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Provide value-added analysis and drive continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Perform special projects and ad-hoc management reporting as required.
  • Enforce safety rules and procedures and ensure compliance with Gulfstream regulations.

 

Preferred degree programs

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following disciplines: 
    • Tax
    • Business
    • Finance
    • Accounting
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Spring 2027 semester, beginning in January 2027.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.

 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
