This is a great opportunity for an Intern Architect or Architect who loves the technical side of architecture and is looking for their next career transition to be a part of a medium-sized company based in Red Deer, Alberta. This role will have you being involved in the development of multi-family, wood-frame projects as well as some commercial, retail, senior living, public and other projects as well. ABOUT THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will focus be more technically focused with production and detailing, whilst also working on working with all aspects of projects, from design development, production, CA, project management client liaison to report writing. This is an excellent opportunity with a lot of room for growing into a Senior Architect and eventually an Associate.
WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Master's Degree in Architecture preferred, other educational backgrounds may be considered
  • Be an intern or registered Architect with AAA preferably, although technical candidates will be considered as well (Technologists and Job Captains)
  • Proven track record with projects in the commercial, multi-family and retail sectors - or an interest to work in these industries
  • Strong technical skills and a passion for the technical side of architecture
  • Experience working with technical programs like SketchUp, Vectorworks, AuotCAD, and REVIT are assets
  • Detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
  • High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and leadership a must
  • Passion for design and architecture with a strong leadership approach to execute a team mentality
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
