Our global exhibition program expands beyond our locations in New York, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Paris, representing seventy artists and estates. Home to innovative, singular, and pioneering exhibitions across a variety of media and genres. Active in both the primary and secondary markets, David Zwirner has helped foster the careers of some of the most influential artists today.
Who will work well with us:
  • The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or is eager to learn.
  • We welcome all individuals entering the workforce, those moving into a new stage of their career or vocation, making a change, returning to work, and those wanting to learn and grow within the industry, to apply.

About the Opportunity
Art Fair Intern
David Zwirner seeks a highly motivated Art Fair Intern at its New York gallery. This role will support the Art Fair team by assisting with the gallery's participation in global art fairs. This position offers hands-on experience with an established gallery dedicated to advancing its artists and programming.
Qualified candidates should be highly personable, organized, motivated, and responsible, with an interest in gaining experience in the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery.
What you'll do:
  • Assist with making art fair booths and artwork scale models for each fair.
  • Create and print wall labels for all works on art fair booths.
  • Gather, pack, and unpack office supplies for outgoing and incoming shipments to all art fairs.
  • Assist with general maintenance and organization of art fair supplies and materials.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

What we would like you to have:
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Experience with SketchUp is a plus.
  • The ability to multitask, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to exercise diligence and discretion, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management.
  • An interest in contemporary art and the gallery's program.

The internship runs from approximately September 14th - December 18th, 2026. The hours are 10AM - 6PM, 2 - 3 days a week. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $17/hour. All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided.
Please submit a resume and cover letter.
