Job description

Primary Job Function:

  • Making operator instructions for sheet metal fabrication/stamping area.
  • Making profile templates using GD&T to reduce in process inspection time for production parts.
  • Updating part/component pictures in the ERP system (Syteline).
  • Work with engineers to perform project tasks and track status.
  • Work with quality inspectors and keeping track on the inspection gages.
  • Create and update Production Control Documents (PCD).
  • Learn and operate Romer equipment when needed.
  • Must be willing to rotate thru Engineering, Quality, Launch, Estimating and Program management departments.
  • Perform other engineering and quality projects/assignments as needed.
Skills and Specifications:
  • Must be a Junior, Senior or recent graduate of Engineering from accredited college.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Solid works proficiency preferred / AutoCad is acceptable
  • Understanding of basic SPC
  • Strong mechanical abilities
  • Basic Knowledge of manufacturing concepts
  • Must be a good communicator
  • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior work effectively in a team environment.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Must have own transportation

Physical Requirements of the Job:

Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials and inspecting fixture set up and work products.

Speech and hearing capacity appropriate for frequent person to person and phone-based conversations and meetings.

Able to move about weld and fabrication plant with walking and other manufacturing environment hazards.

Standing on concrete, tolerance for wearing protective apparel and devices. Working frequently in a hot, noisy environment.

PPE:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to be worn on production floor at all times: Safety Glasses, steel toe work boots or shoes and hearing protection.



Full time position during Summer (40 hour work week)
Part time during the school year
*Hours will be set with manager at time of hire
