Job description

Position Overview

The Director of New Stand Openings is responsible for leading the operational readiness and successful launch of all new 7 Brew stands operating under Cotti Coffee. This role oversees the development and execution of the new stand opening (NSO) process, ensuring each location is fully prepared for opening day and positioned for long-term operational success.
This leader serves as the primary operational partner during the development phase of each stand, working cross-functionally with development, construction, HR, marketing, IT, and operations teams to ensure all operational milestones are completed on schedule.
The Director of New Stand Openings also leads the Baller Program, Cotti Coffee’s training and field support team responsible for preparing new stand teams for launch and delivering training during openings. This role will build, develop, and manage the Baller team, oversee scheduling and deployment of trainers, and ensure consistent training standards across all stand openings.
This position reports directly to the President of Cotti Coffee and plays a critical role in building and scaling the 7 Brew team in the field as the brand expands.

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Stand Opening Leadership
  • Lead the operational readiness and execution of all new stand openings.
  • Ensure each stand is fully prepared for opening through coordination of operational, staffing, training, and vendor readiness.
  • Partner with development and construction teams to monitor stand progress and align operational timelines with construction schedules.
  • Oversee the transition from development to operations for each stand.
  • Support stand openings in the field as needed to ensure successful launches.
Baller Program Leadership (Training & Field Support)
  • Lead the development, growth, and management of the Baller Program, the field training team responsible for supporting stand openings.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop Ballers who will support training and operational readiness during new stand openings.
  • Oversee scheduling and deployment of the Baller team to support stand openings across territories.
  • Maintain consistent training standards aligned with the 7 Brew brand and operational expectations.
  • Continuously improve training systems, onboarding processes, and field support strategies.
Operational Readiness & Vendor Coordination
  • Ensure all operational vendors are established, scheduled, and prepared for each stand opening.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and purchasing teams to ensure equipment, supplies, and operational materials arrive on schedule.
  • Support the field operations team by ensuring new stands have the tools, systems, and support required for a successful opening.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Construction, Operations, HR, IT, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
  • Serve as a key leader within the cross-functional team responsible for bringing new stands online.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between departments throughout the development and opening process.
Field Team Development
  • Play a key role in building the 7 Brew field team as the brand expands.
  • Support the hiring, development, and onboarding of new stand leaders and operational team members.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to stand leadership teams during the opening phase.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and refine the New Stand Opening (NSO) playbook and operational systems as the brand scales.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, training effectiveness, and opening readiness.
  • Implement scalable processes that support rapid stand growth while maintaining brand standards.
Communication & Leadership Reporting
  • Provide regular updates to the President of Cotti Coffee and leadership team on stand opening progress and readiness.
  • Track opening timelines, operational readiness metrics, and training effectiveness.
  • Communicate risks, delays, or operational challenges and implement solutions quickly.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to direct reports.
  • Manage scheduling, deployment, and performance of the Baller team during stand openings.

QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of restaurant or hospitality operations experience required.
  • Multi-unit leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting new restaurant openings, market expansion, or operational rollouts preferred.
  • 7 Brew experience strongly preferred.
Leadership & Training Experience
  • Experience leading training programs, field training teams, or operational training initiatives.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
