Connected Logistics is seeking to hire a Software Developer to support a DLA client's full software development lifecycle; to provide in-depth knowledge of requirements development, system design, system performance, and software programming; and to design and manage the database and deployment software.


The Software Developer Intermediate is responsible for resolving problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects. Participates in development of software user manuals. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team


Key Responsibilities



Software Development & Architecture

  • Design and develop complex software solutions using best practices and modern technologies.
  • Ensure code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
  • Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technology strategies.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the development team.
  • Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Agile Team Collaboration

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver value-driven features.
  • Drive technical discussions and decision-making within the team.

Performance & Optimization

  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
  • Implement and advocate for secure coding practices.
  • Ensure maintainability and scalability of software solutions.
Requirements:
  • Two or more years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining applications using C#, VB.NET, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with web development using JavaScript and React, Angular, or another modern front-end framework.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Entity Framework, or another ORM.
  • Experience developing or consuming APIs.
  • Familiarity with Git, source control practices, peer reviews, and collaborative software development.
  • Ability to independently develop, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain application features.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, research, troubleshooting, or documentation.
  • Ability to work onsite
  • U.S. citizen with a current T3 investigation.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience within DOD DLA DPAS/ELMS or similar federal agencies.
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications or incrementally migrating functionality to newer technologies.
  • Exposure to microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, RabbitMQ, NServiceBus, or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with AI agents, MCP servers, retrieval-augmented generation, or other AI-enabled development workflows.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, military, logistics, financial, property accountability, maintenance, supply chain, or enterprise applications.
