Senior Bridge Engineer

Location: Ottawa Ontario

Salary $120,000-$160,000 (based on experience)

About The Opportunity:

We have partnered with an established Engineering Consulting Firm who is looking to add a Senior Bridge Engineer to their growing team. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for someone who has extensive experience in a leadership capacity, thrives working on complex projects and has enjoys working with stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare engineering computations, tender packages, cost estimates and quantity take-offs and technical proposals. 
  • Manage the preparation of engineering drawings and documentation for bridge, culverts and retaining walls.
  • Spearhead the structural design of new bridges, culverts and retaining walls. 
  • Provide leadership to junior and intermediate engineers as well as other team members.
  • Work in conjunction with municipalities, provincial approval authorities (MTO) and other agencies.

Requirements:

    • Registered as a P.Eng. in Ontario.
    • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA-S6) and MTO Structural manual
    • Eligible for MTO RAQS registration
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design of bridges and other transportation structures.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, Excel and MS Project.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Previous experience leading design teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
