Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Deployment Network Specialist that will primarily support the O&M team in pre-installation, on-site deployment, and go-live testing. The Deployment Network Specialist is responsible for preparing and performing on-site network surveys at customer sites, participate in the infrastructure configuration, and testing activities prior to deployment. This is a great opportunity in the Springfield area. Responsibilities for the Deployment Network Specialist: * Working knowledge of WAN technology and deployment and troubleshooting different communication circuit types.
* Understanding of layer 1 technologies and their capabilities and limitations, including cable management, cable types, media converters, circuits to include CPE, Telco & Demark, etc. * Installation experience with routers, switches, firewalls and Security and Encryption appliances.
Required Qualifications for the Deployment Network Specialist: * 7+ years demonstrated performance in network engineering technology, with a bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience.
* DoD Manual 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification Certification for Intermediate level.
* Strong communication skills and experience using ticketing.
* Strong understanding in troubleshooting in cloud network technologies (Expressroute, and Azure virtual networks)
* Experience with level 1 technologies such as cable management, cable types, CPE
* Layer 3 experience highly preferred (BGP, MPLS, SD WAN)
* Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS
* Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility.
Compensation for the Deployment Network Specialist: * Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 *depending on experience*
