Job description

Role Purpose:
The tracking, reporting, and accountability of all product inventory related to production reporting of the Tubular Division of Haynes International, Inc. Accountability includes meeting Arcadia Facility requirements as well as corporate requirements and deadlines in such a manner as to contribute to the Company business plan. Review GL activity, consolidate information, and prepare reporting requirements timely. Provide support to the Quality and Production Planning departments as needed. Serve as a short-term replacement in the absence of the Accounting Specialist in all capacities, and the Finance Manager in key duties

Education:
B.S. Degree in Business or Accounting (R)
Experience:
Microsoft Applications specifically including Excel (R) Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar experience (P)
1+ Year Manufacturing Experience (P) Inventory Control/Accountability (P)
1+ Year Month End Close, General Ledger experience (P)
Areas of Knowledge:
Microsoft AX Dynamics or similar ERP Cost Accounting System; Inventory Tracking and Flow Analysis; Manufacturing Process and Flow; Health & Safety; Multitasking (all required)
Skills:

Global Accountabilities for the Role:
  1. Safety/Environmental Establish and maintain a safe work environment and safe work habits.

  3. ProductivityAnalyze and streamline areas of accountability to work as efficiently as possible.
  4. Cost/StewardshipWork efficiently as possible, conserving supplies and other Company provisions where ever possible
Role Responsibilities:
  1. Routine Product Costing for Tubing and Fittings Products
  2. Sales Reporting and Cost of Goods Sold - Reconcile for daily and monthly closing and reporting
  3. Product Returns coordinator and sales contact
  4. Responsible for labor for Shopfloor systems including weekly and month-end reconciliation for both temporary personnel
  5. Review conversion invoices and receipts -- checking for reasonableness and ensuring proper procedures are followed
  6. Cross-train on AX and Shopfloor transactions and other duties of the Accounting Specialist
  7. Cross-train to learn WIP and Production Variance analysis and annual department budgets
  8. Assist with annual physical inventories
  9. Assist with SOX and audit requests
  10. Assist with other analysis and reporting as needed
  11. Member of the Internal Audit Team for Arcadia Tubular Facility Process Audits
  12. General ledger, Trial Balance, Journal Entries knowledge
  13. Adhere to month end close cycle (5 business days)
