Objectif du Poste: En tant que concepteur sonore, vos responsabilites comprennent la creation, le developpement, la production et l'integration de l'environnement sonore des jeux video et autres medias visuels. Votre expertise sonore et votre passion pour les jeux video en particulier vous permettent de construire des paysages sonores captivants, offrant aux joueurs et aux spectateurs une experience immersive. Vous jouez un role cle dans la concretisation de la vision creative, en travaillant en collaboration avec l'equipe audio senior et l'equipe de conception du jeu.

Liste des responsabilites

Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, le concepteur sonore est appele a effectuer plusieurs taches, notamment :

       Concevoir et editer des ressources sonores attrayantes pour les jeux video, les bandes-annonces et autres medias visuels, dans le respect du style et de la direction creative du projet ;

       Integration d'assets sonores dans des middlewares audio (Wwise, FMOD) et des moteurs de jeux (Unreal, Unity, moteurs de jeux personnalises) ;

       Concevoir des hierarchies de mixage dynamiques et des systemes audio dans des environnements stereo et surround ;

       Synchronisation et mixage audio sur des supports lineaires ;

       Tester, trouver et corriger les bogues lies a l'audio ;

       Maintenir une familiarite avec les scripts de base en ce qui concerne l'audio du jeu et l'amelioration du flux de travail ;

       Travailler en collaboration, assister aux reunions avec l'equipe et les partenaires externes ;

       Contribuer a la documentation, au suivi des projets et aux procedures ;

       Executer des sessions d'enregistrement a l'interieur et a l'exterieur du studio

Requirements

Formation et experience

       Diplome dans une discipline en lien avec le poste (design sonore, enregistrement, musique)

       Experience ayant travaille sur au moins deux jeux termines

       Ou avoir un portfolio/demo impressionnant

 Competences et qualites

       Vous faites preuve d'une excellente creativite dans la creation sonore ;

       Vous maitrisez l'utilisation d'un DAW (Reaper et/ou Pro Tools) a des fins de conception sonore, en synchronisation avec le materiel visuel.

       Vous etes creatif, curieux, humble, vous savez accepter les critiques constructives et vous avez l'esprit d'equipe.

       Vous travaillez efficacement et etes soucieux du temps ;

       Vous etes doue pour gerer le stress, respecter les echeanciers et les calendriers changeants.

       Vous avez un sens aigu de l'organisation, de la debrouillardise et de l'autonomie.

       Vous etes de nature positive.

       Vous parlez couramment le francais et l'anglais.

       Vous etes passionne de jeux video.

       Vous avez une bonne comprehension du pipeline audio en travaillant avec Wwise et pouvez executer des taches d'integration de base dans au moins un moteur de jeu (Unreal ou Unity).

Role: Sound Designer

Purpose of Job:As a Sound Designer, your responsibilities include crafting, developing, producing and integrating the sound environment for video games and other visual media. Your expertise in sound and passion for video games in particular enable you to build captivating soundscapes, providing players and spectators with an immersive experience. You play a key role in bringing the creative vision to life, working in collaboration with senior audio staff and the game design team.

List of responsibilities

As part of their duties, Sound Designers are required to perform several tasks including:

       Designing and editing engaging sound assets for use in video games, trailers and other visual media, in respect to the project's style and creative direction;

       Integrating sound assets in audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD) and game engines (Unreal, Unity, custom game engines);

       Designing dynamic mixing hierarchies and audio systems in both stereo and surround environments;

       Syncing and mixing audio to linear media;

       Testing, finding and fixing audio related bugs;

       Maintaining a familiarity with basic scripting as it pertains to game audio and workflow improvement;

       Working collaboratively, attend meetings with the team and external partners;

       Contributing to documentation, project tracking and procedures;

       Execute recording sessions inside and outside of the studio

Education and Experience

       Degree in a discipline related to the position (sound design, recording, music)

       Experience having worked on at least two completed games

       Or have an impressive portfolio/demo

 Competences and qualities

       You show excellent creativity in sound creation;

       You are proficient in using a DAW (Reaper and/or Pro Tools) for sound design purposes, in sync with visual material.

       You are creative, curious, humble, good at accepting constructive criticism and a great team player.
