About the Role

We are seeking an Interior Architect with at least three years of professional experience and a genuine passion for interior design. This role is intended for an architecture graduate with a strong technical foundation who has chosen to focus their career on the design of interior environments.


Working primarily with our interior design team, you will contribute to space planning, finish and material selection, FF&E coordination and the production of coordinated interior drawing sets. Your architectural experience will also allow you to support broader architectural projects as workload and project needs evolve. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both disciplines but considers interior design their primary focus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the interior design team with space planning, finish selection and the development of cohesive design concepts
  • Prepare product specifications, schedules and location documentation for interior finishes, fixtures and furnishing
  • Assist with the production and coordination of interior design drawing sets, including finish plans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and details
  • Develop interior finish schedules and coordinate selections across drawings, specifications and consultant information
  • Support furniture layouts, FF&E selection and product procurement coordination
  • Coordinate interior design work with architectural drawings and project requirements to maintain accuracy and consistency across the document set
  • Assist with submittal reviews, RFIs and related construction administration correspondence
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, consultants, vendors and other project team members throughout all project phases
  • Contribute to design problem-solving and help ensure that project deliverables meet STUDIO's standards for quality, clarity and thoughtful design


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture required
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience with a primary focus on interior design and demonstrated experience supporting architectural projects
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and demonstrated experience producing coordinated drawing sets
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to balance design thinking with careful attention to technical details
  • Self-starter able to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment


Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting interior design projects within an architecture firm or multidisciplinary design practice
  • Understanding of building codes and their application to interior layouts, finishes and furnishings
  • Familiarity with construction documentation and finish packages focused on interior design scopes
  • Experience developing finish and furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, schedules, elevations and details
  • Knowledge of finish materials, furniture applications and product specification
  • SketchUp proficiency
