Title: Industrial Designer
Reports to: VP Product Development
Summary:
As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing the molded interior and exterior components, as well as paint schemes, of motorhomes. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative, functional, and visually appealing designs that align with market trends and customer preferences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generate creative and innovative design concepts for motorhomes based on market trends, user preferences, and functionality requirements.
  • Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Choose appropriate materials, colors, and finishes for both interior and exterior components, considering durability, aesthetics, and overall design cohesion in collaboration with interior designers.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that design concepts can be feasibly implemented, meeting safety, structural, and technical requirements.
  • Develop mock-ups to test design concepts and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and customer preferences related to motorhome design and recreational vehicles.
  • Work within budget constraints, considering cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality and functionality.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and design rationale.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to conduct market research to identify opportunities and ensure designs are aligned with the target demographic and market demand.
