Role Description The Interior Design Sales Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on providing personalized interior design consultation to clients, including space planning, product selection, and presenting design concepts that reflect Ethan Allen’s standards of style and quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients in the Design Center and in-home as needed, developing design proposals, preparing visual presentations, and guiding clients through the full sales process from initial contact to final delivery. The Interior Design Sales Professional collaborates closely with design, operations, and delivery teams to ensure a smooth client experience and timely project completion. The role also involves prospecting and follow-up, maintaining a client portfolio, and meeting or exceeding sales and performance goals while representing the brand in a professional and service-oriented manner.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interior design abilities, including space planning, color coordination, and furniture and décor selection.
  • Customer-facing sales skills, with experience in consultative selling, relationship building, and closing sales in a retail or design environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate client needs into clear, compelling design solutions.
  • Comfort with design tools and technology, such as basic design software, CAD or room-planning tools, and standard office applications.
  • Detail-oriented project management skills, including organizing multiple client projects, timelines, and follow-up activities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to meet goals, grow a client base, and contribute to the Design Center’s success.
  • Ability to work on-site in Orlando, FL, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required in a retail design environment.
  • Prior experience in interior design, home furnishings, or a related field; a degree or formal training in interior design or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Commitment to providing inclusive, respectful service to a diverse clientele and working effectively within a collaborative team culture.
