The Junior Interior Designer supports the Merchandising Manager and Interior Designers in developing
and implementing model home designs. This includes assisting with concept development, selections,
procurement, and installations. The role also involves managing smaller-scale independent projects while
maintaining brand standards and design quality.
Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Track furniture orders for Interior Designers and independent projects as assigned.
  • Communicate with installation partners to ensure successful installs and manage follow up items

  • Assist Merchandising Manager and Director on special design projects as necessary.
  • Collect project costs and assist with preparation of final budgets for submittal to Merchandising
  • Manager.
  • Attend model installations as required.
  • Stay abreast of current design trends and practices.

Your Toolbox
  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Interior Design required.
  • Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) on
  • Macintosh platform.
  • Basic understanding of California Building and ADA codes preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.

  • Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
  • California Motor Vehicle License - unrestricted. Moderate Regional travel (including overnight

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
