Job description

Grace Home Furnishings is looking for new interior designers to join their team! 

Founded in 2000, Grace Home Furnishings is located in the Uptown Design District of Palm Springs. Our showroom features beautifully curated custom furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories. Our designers offer professional services on every scale, from redecorating one room to re-imagining an entire home. If you love the design process and cultivating relationships with customers, we'd love to meet you!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Driven and motivated sales person experience in a high-end luxury store or showroom
  • Goal oriented with track record of sales success
  • Basic computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Email and data entry
  • Draft scaled furniture plan (Will train)
  • Outstanding ability to verbally present ideas to individuals
  • Willing to work weekends
  • Own car and ability to drive to customer’s homes
  • Ability to complete work and multi-task in a busy, dynamic environment with shifting demands and constant activity

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and greet showroom customers
  • Daily retail sales from walk in customers
  • Evaluate customer needs
  • Select and price special order merchandise
  • Issue price quotes and product information in MS Excel
  • Assist clients with furniture and fabric selections
  • Willing to travel to client’s homes for consultation and installations
  • Create a professional design presentation with drafted floor plans
  • Maintain customer files, floor plans, etc.
  • Provide follow-up on customers’ purchase orders for changes, status checks, cancellations, etc.
  • Keep customer well informed about their order and any status changes
  • Maintain relationships with past clients and cultivate new leads
  • Maintain knowledge of all product information
