Peppard Home + Interiors is an appointment-based interior design showroom featuring one of the largest design libraries on Long Island. We deliver highly personalized design services across both our Full Service and Project-Based Design divisions, helping clients create thoughtful, elevated spaces with confidence.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Design Assistant to support our design team with project coordination, technical documentation, showroom preparation, and daily operational support. This role is ideal for someone who loves design but also understands that exceptional client experiences are built through consistency, precision, and follow-through.
The Role
As a Design Assistant, you will support multiple designers across active client projects while helping maintain the daily flow of the showroom. You will be responsible for technical drawings, design documentation, product tracking, and studio organization. Accuracy, accountability, and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Studio & Client Preparation

  •  Prepare the showroom, design materials, and sample selections prior to client appointments 
  •  Ensure presentation areas, meeting spaces, and design resources are organized, polished, and client-ready 
  •  Assist with in-studio client appointments when needed 
Design Documentation

  •  Draft floor plans, elevations, and supporting drawings under designer direction 
  •  Prepare concept boards, material presentations, specification sheets, and client proposals 
  •  Assist with product sourcing, finish selections, and pricing documentation 
Project Coordination

  •  Track quotes, purchase orders, deliveries, and installation timelines 
  •  Maintain accurate project notes, client records, and documentation within the CRM 
  •  Coordinate follow-ups with vendors, workrooms, installers, and suppliers as needed 
Library & Operational Support

  •  Manage and maintain the design library, sample inventory, and vendor materials 
  •  Organize discontinued samples, new product arrivals, and resource updates 
  •  Support workflow systems across both Full Service and Project-Based design teams 
Qualifications
  •  1 to 3+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or a related design field 
  •  Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, or comparable design software is required 
  •  Strong technical drafting skills with the ability to produce accurate floor plans and elevations 
  •  Comfortable working with CRM platforms, digital sourcing tools, spreadsheets, and studio software 
  •  Exceptional organization, time management, and follow-through 
  •  Professional, polished, and comfortable working in a client-facing luxury studio environment 
  •  Ability to support multiple designers and active projects simultaneously
