WHO IS LEE DOUGLAS INTERIORS
Lee Douglas is an interior design firm specializing in space planning and drafting, construction management, including new builds and remodels, offering building products such as lighting and flooring as well as final styling. In addition to our design specialty, we have two types of retail stores. Lee Douglas Interiors, that offers furniture, artwork, and accessories, and our sister store, The Loft, which is a themed store that sells finishing touches for every room in the house.
POSTION OBJECTIVE
Lee Douglas Interiors is seeking a highly organized, proactive team member to join our design department in a unique role that combines interior design support with executive support for the owner.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants the opportunity to work closely with company leadership while continuing to grow their interior design knowledge.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate Designer
  • Develop and present design concepts and renderings
  • Create detailed plans, including floor plans, elevations, and material specifications
  • Select and source furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories that align with the design vision and budget
  • Coordinate and collaborate with builders, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Oversee and manage projects from concept development through to installation and final styling
  • Stay updated with industry trends in design, materials, and technology
  • Manage client accounts through invoicing and collection on merchandise and services
  • Communicate with clients on status of all open orders and projects
  • Inspect and approve merchandise as it is received by the warehouse
  • Assist walk-in clients, as necessary
  • Create action items from meeting notes and maintain team calendar
  • Document selections and consultation during client meetings
  • Coordinate installation and delivery appointments
  • Support Designer with meetings and maintaining sales goal
  • Must report timely to work as scheduled by LDI Management

Executive Support
  • Provide proactive executive support by coordinating and completing time-sensitive tasks and occasional off-site assignments for the owner
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for the owner
  • Assist with special projects, events, and company initiatives, including travel
  • Draft correspondence such as emails and letters
  • Screen and direct phone calls

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
  • Has an associate's degree or equivalent experience in a similar role (previous experience providing executive level support, preferred)
  • Is proficient in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, etc.)

At Lee Douglas Interiors, we serve clients at home and on construction sites. Candidates must be able to travel locally and perform in environments of varying temperatures and noise conditions. Candidates must be able to be on their feet and lift or carry merchandise and presentation materials, up to 50lbs. In addition, candidates must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods of time. Due to our industry and widespread client base, overtime or travel may be required. Overnight stays are necessary during market trips.
