We are looking to hire a Hotel Interior Superintendent. Reporting to the Design Director, Interior Asset Management, this person will be responsible for upkeep of the hotel and crew areas onboard the Ships in respect to Interior repair and maintenance, as well as upgrades and improvement projects. This role will also support the Ships by supplying FF&E, finishes and materials, as well as coordinate third party suppliers and vendors in the implementation of projects both in-service and dry docks.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the interior design aspects for designated Cruise Ships within the Princess Fleet.
  • Survey ships to establish interior scopes, schedules and budgets to include repair and maintenance needs. Key player in building annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
  • Coordinate and implement interior projects onboard Ships.
  • Create purchase orders and raise Capital projects.
  • Support and work closely with Guest Experience, Hotel Operations, F&B, Entertainment, Onboard Revenue, Supply Chain, Logics, Finance and other support departments.
  • Engage with outsourced contractors and consultants as needed.
  • Manage projects in dry dock, and in-services. This includes soliciting bids and warding work with third party vendors and managing projects to completion.
  • Work closely with Ship's Staff and Technical Pods to maintain all guest and crew areas onboard Ships assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Scope: This role supports the design and maintenance of hotel and crew interior spaces across the Princess fleet. It involves collaboration with multiple departments and vendors, and has a global impact through in-service and dry dock projects.
  • Problem Solving: The role requires managing complex interior design projects, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and compliance with brand standards. It involves anticipating maintenance needs and resolving design and implementation challenges.
  • Impact: This role directly influences the quality and consistency of guest and crew environments across the fleet, contributing to brand perception and operational excellence.
  • Leadership: While direct reports are not specified, the role requires leadership in managing cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and collaboration with internal departments to execute design projects.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and/or Revit, SketchUp, PhotoShop, AdobePro, Illustrator. Knowledge of Hospitality Design Industry Standards and IMO Certifications. Strong verbal and written communications in English. Must have a valid Passport and be able to travel Internationally.
  • Minimum 10 years hospitality design experience. Minimum 5 years Interior Project Management experience. Minimum 5 years Design Manager experience a plus. Experience working with contractors and outsourced consultants.
