Interim Controller Opportunity


Venteon Finance is currently seeking an Interim Controller for a leading company located in the metro Detroit area.


This position reports to the Corporate Leadership Team. The Interim Controller is responsible for the financial function at the US corporate office,


Requirements of the Interim Controller

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CMA or CPA designation preferred.
  • Prior Controller/Operational Finance experience with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
  • Experience in a multi-site, multi-division environment


Requirements of the Interim Controller

This position supports the finance and operational accounting teams, reporting to the CFO.


The Interim Controller will work with the CFO providing accounting leadership, support and assistance within the following areas:

  • Accounting Clean up initiatives
  • Accounting Process development
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Inventory Management and Inventory Analysis
  • Assist the CFO in assessing, revamping and streamlining current accounting functions and activities.


Essential Job Functions

  • Work with CFO to ensure standardized accounting procedures and processes.
  • Lead and provide appropriate supporting documentation to internal/external auditors
  • Manage and provide guidance and assistance with all ongoing accounting activities and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage accounting clean-up work and implement operational accounting changes where needed within the General Ledger.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage Intacct also beneficial
