The Project: 

Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New York, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.

The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You'll Be Responsible For: 

  • Oversee Interface Lifecycle: You will retain full responsibility for managing all technical interfaces within and between your assigned contracts, from initial identification and documentation to final resolution and closeout.

  • Facilitate Agreements: You will lead the coordination with contracting teams to execute formal Interface Agreements (IAs), clearly defining the deliverables, responsibilities, and timelines required to ensure seamless integration between parties.

  • Manage Documentation: You are responsible for generating baseline Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for inclusion in procurement documents, maintaining the Interface Register (IR) for your contracts, and approving the contractor's specific interface management plan.

  • Lead Stakeholder Collaboration: You will act as the primary point of contact for interface matters, holding regular meetings with contractors, supporting their interface identification efforts, and collaborating with the Senior Interface Manager and other program teams.

  • Monitor and Report: You will track the status of all interface deliverables, collect key performance indicators, and provide monthly updates to program management on progress, risks, and any forecasted delays.

  • Drive Issue Resolution: You are expected to proactively identify and resolve interface issues, manage changes to agreements in coordination with the Change Management team, and escalate critical issues that cannot be resolved at the project level.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction, or related discipline.

  • Proven experience managing medium-sized or complex projects, including construction delivery phases.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to collaborate and influence to achieve project KPIs.

  • Experience in budget oversight and proactive management of internal budgets and fees to deliver agreed outcomes.

  • Good understanding of project management methodologies, construction sequencing, and contract administration processes.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills across planning, estimating, procurement, and design activities.

  • Relevant professional certifications (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent) and CSCS card (or local equivalent), with experience in bidding and improving working practices.
    Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $180k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
