The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Interactive Digital Media Specialist to join its Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding and skill in content management, website management, photography, videography, and a variety of digital media presentation and live event management skills. This role is responsible for deploying digital media assets across a variety of platforms, including preparing assets for publication, converting assets, and maintaining schedules. This position coordinates with Corporate Communication and IT teams, and customers, for requirements and solutions, and partners with communications specialists on production and publishing of digital media.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our campus facility in Chantilly, Virginia.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Supports corporate online, virtual, and hybrid events in event setup, livestream production, event technical management, event moderation, and metrics collection/presentation.
  • Gathers requirements from customers and partners cross-functionally to develop tool and platform recommendations for online events based on content, security, and cost concerns.
  • Partners with other corporate communications teams on projects that involve digital media, providing support, guidance on media assets, and best practices as needed.
  • Provides close coordination with video team on production of digital media for multiple communication channels.
  • Publishes content on multiple internal and external WordPress-based websites.
  • Prepares both video and photo content for publication on multiple channels, optimizing assets as needed.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Interactive Digital Media Specialist II include:
  • Associate Degree in related field
  • Three or more years of related experience
  • Experience running technical and administrative aspects of online and virtual events, including livestream production, managing presentations, switching feeds and content sources, and other backend systems.
  • Familiarity with event management on Zoom, MS Teams, and similar platforms.
  • Experience creating content and managing websites in WordPress.
  • Experience with video formats, codecs, optimization, and conversion for multi-channel publication.
  • Experience with graphic file formats and optimizing these for digital publication.
  • Experience using current best practices in website media hosting (video, animations, etc.)
  • Familiar with digital asset management systems.
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Interactive Digital Media Specialist III include:
  • Six or more years of related experience

  • Experience running digital signage systems, and ability to configure and install devices.
