Job Description

Position               : SAP Developer (Procurement, Budget & Costs)

Location               : Washington DC Onsite
Duration              : Long term contract


Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Developer with strong expertise in Procurement, Budgeting, and Cost functionalities. The resource will work on developing, enhancing, and integrating SAP solutions to support business processes related to purchasing, cost control, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical development experience combined with good understanding of business processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain SAP solutions focused on Procurement, Budget and Cost modules.
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Develop custom objects, enhancements, interfaces, reports, workflows, and forms.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing and support UAT.
  • Troubleshoot defects and provide technical resolutions.
  • Support various SAP integration points and data flows.
  • Prepare documentation including functional/technical specifications.
  • Provide production support and optimize existing SAP applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and Architects.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of hands-on SAP Development experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Procurement (MM / SRM), Budget and Cost processes (CO / FM).
  • Strong SAP ABAP programming experience including:
    • Reports (Classical & Interactive)
    • Enhancements, User Exits, BADI, BAPI
    • SmartForms / SAPScripts
    • Interfaces (IDOC, RFC, Web Services)
    • Dialog programming
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience in supporting SAP integration with financial and procurement systems.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP Workflow.
  • Experience supporting public sector/government projects.
  • SAP certifications in ABAP or related modules.
