Job description

Build Relationships. Open Doors. Help Transform Transportation.

Intelligent Audit is looking for an experienced, technology-minded Business Development Representative to help introduce some of the world’s largest organizations to smarter ways of managing their transportation spend.

This is not a traditional, high-volume BDR position. You will conduct thoughtful account research, build relationships with senior transportation and business leaders, and create qualified opportunities within complex enterprise organizations.

The right person is curious, persistent, commercially minded, and comfortable using modern sales technology—including AI—to work more strategically and effectively.

About Intelligent Audit:

Intelligent Audit is a leading transportation technology company that helps the world's largest brands reduce transportation costs, improve operational efficiency, and gain greater visibility into their global freight spend.
For nearly 30 years, we've combined industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver freight audit and payment, transportation analytics, and AI-powered insights that help our clients make smarter decisions.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Business Development Representative to help expand our footprint within enterprise organizations. If you enjoy building relationships, opening doors with large organizations, and working in a fast-paced, high-performance sales environment, we'd love to talk.

What You Will Do:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The individual with this position in our company will be expected, on a regular basis, to:

  • Identify and prospect enterprise organizations that fit Intelligent Audit's ideal client profile.
  • Build relationships with transportation, supply chain, finance, procurement, and logistics leaders.
  • Execute strategic outbound campaigns through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other prospecting channels.
  • Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for Sales owners.
  • Research prospective clients and identify transportation challenges where Intelligent Audit can provide value.
  • Support prospect analyses and help prepare sales materials when appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing on account-based campaigns and strategic outreach.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and prospect information within HubSpot.
  • Stay current on industry trends, transportation challenges, and Intelligent Audit's solutions.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Consistently generate qualified opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting.
  • Follow up on, qualify, and nurture marketing-generated leads, advancing sales-ready prospects to Sales owners.
  • Book meetings with relevant decision-makers at target organizations.
  • Meet established outbound activity and pipeline goals.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospect and pipeline information in HubSpot.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales and Marketing on targeting, outreach, and follow-up.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Business Development, Sales Development, or Inside Sales experience.
  • Professional experience within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to accelerate prospecting, conduct account research, personalize outreach, summarize business information, and continuously improve sales effectiveness. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new AI tools as part of their daily workflow
  • Proven success prospecting and generating pipeline through outbound sales efforts.
  • Experience selling into enterprise organizations and navigating complex buying processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales tools such as HubSpot, SalesIntel, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar technologies.
  • Comfortable analyzing information and identifying business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Freight Audit & Payment experience.
  • Experience with parcel, LTL, truckload, or multimodal transportation.
  • Experience selling transportation technology, logistics services, or supply chain solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Who You Are:
  • Curious and eager to learn.
  • Persistent without being pushy.
  • Comfortable reaching out to senior executives.
  • Competitive and motivated by achieving goals.
  • Highly organized and disciplined in your daily execution.
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection with a positive attitude.
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership of results.
Why Join Intelligent Audit:
  • The opportunity to sell industry-leading transportation technology and services.
  • Exposure to enterprise clients across multiple industries.
  • A collaborative, high-performing sales organization.
  • Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
