AI Strategy & Market Intelligence ManagerAbout the Business/Department:
  • AI Delivery Hub: The AI Delivery Hub is a key engine in Amadeus' transformation toward an AIfirst organization. It brings together focused, multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and deliver AI products solutions endtoend. Working closely with product and platform teams across different business lines, the Hub accelerates delivery and scales AI across Amadeus' portfolio by turning proven work into reusable capabilities and real product outcomes.
  • AI Assistant Team: By joining our AI Assistant team, you'll be part of an endtoend product incubation team focused on designing, validating, and scaling AInative solutions for how travelers plan, book, and service trips through emerging AI interfaces.
  • Commercial & Strategy Team: Commercial & Strategy is the customer-facing engine of the team. We own the engagement with AI assistant beyond our current partners - from spotting opportunities early, to understanding what genuinely creates value for customers and travelers, to shaping the commercial frameworks that turn those connections into revenue. We connect Amadeus' capabilities to what the market actually needs, and bring back the strategic signal that tells the rest of the team what to build and why.
Summary of the role:

We are looking for a strategy and competitive intelligence professional to help shape the future of AI Assistance in travel. In this role, you will map a fast-moving ecosystem, decode market signals, and translate evidence into clear strategic options for Amadeus. You will work at the intersection of market intelligence, product strategy, early-stage commercial thinking, and executive communication, helping the team define where to play and how to win.

In this role you'll:
  • Map and maintain a structured view of the AI Assistants in the travel ecosystem, including key players, emerging standards and protocols, partnership dynamics and business models.
  • Run ongoing competitive intelligence and SWOT analysis, translating market observations into actionable strategic recommendations for the team and senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitor moves, product launches, integrations, partnerships, pricing signals, M&A activity, and technology shifts to identify emerging opportunities and market dynamics.
  • Track customer behavior, traveler behavior and trends, and partner feedback to inform strategy, value proposition, positioning, and product direction.
  • Lead market sizing, customer segmentation, and target customer definition for the AI Assistants segment, supporting early prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Contribute to early-stage business model design, pricing thinking, go-to-market options, and value proposition framing in close collaboration with commercial, product, and leadership.
  • Own the support to early product lifecycle phases by defining potential markets, assessing market viability and risk, shaping the evidence base for product and business decisions.
  • Produce crisp, executive-ready outputs such as strategy memos, competitive snapshots, market briefings, decision papers, and recommendation decks for senior audiences.
  • Maintain a current, shared strategic view of the market as the AI assistant landscape evolves, ensuring the team can act quickly on relevant external signals.
About the Ideal Candidate:
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Market Intelligence, Product Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent strategic consulting experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to conduct market assessments, ecosystem mapping, competitive intelligence, customer segmentation, and business opportunity analysis.
  • Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, AI Assistant ecosystems, platform business models, and emerging technology trends.
  • Experience translating complex market signals into executive-level recommendations and strategic decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market sizing, financial modeling, pricing, and business case development.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through concise, executive-ready presentations and strategy papers.
  • Experience working in fast-changing technology environments characterized by ambiguity and rapid innovation.
