What you do:
As a Finance Data Science & Automation Intern, you will help modernize Finance by applying data science, AI, analytics, and automation to solve business problems. Working with Finance and cross-functional teams, you will build intelligent data solutions, improve data quality and governance, automate reporting, and develop AI-driven insights that enable faster, more informed business decisions.
Data Engineering & Governance
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using SQL, Python, and automation tools.
  • Improve data quality, governance, documentation, reporting standards, and metric definitions.
  • Participating in discussion with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

AI, Automation & Advanced Analytics
  • Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to generate predictive and actionable insights.
  • Develop AI agents and automation solutions to streamline reporting and decision support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and business performance through data-driven innovation.

Finance Analytics & Reporting
  • Support Period End Closing (PEC) quality checks, reconciliations, and financial performance analysis.
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and business cases to support decision-making.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics to drive business insights.

Business Partnership & Communication
  • Prepare executive-ready insights, presentations, and recommendations for finance leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

You will bring:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong academic record and/or relevant internship, project, or research experience in finance, analytics, data, or business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI (or similar BI/reporting tools).
  • Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, automation, or Generative AI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms, APIs, Power Query, DAX, Azure, Fabric, or Databricks is desirable but not required.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data quality, data modeling, and reporting concepts.
  • Interest in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding financial reporting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business insights while maintaining strong attention to accuracy, governance, and controls.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve ambiguous business problems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present technical and business insights clearly.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, adaptability, integrity, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Effective collaborator with strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-oriented capabilities.

Eligibility requirements:
  • 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
  • Available for a full-time internship for 12 week
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Masters on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
