$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Technology Transactions & Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing technology companies, private equity sponsors, strategic acquirers, life sciences companies, and emerging growth businesses in sophisticated technology transactions and M&A-related intellectual property matters.

Ideal Background

3–5 years of technology transactions and intellectual property transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising clients on technology and intellectual property licensing, commercial technology agreements, and strategic technology transactions

• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital financings, and other corporate transactions through intellectual property and technology due diligence

• Experience drafting and negotiating technology licenses, intellectual property licenses, software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, services agreements, joint development agreements, collaboration agreements, strategic alliance agreements, and distribution agreements (including OEM and VAR/reseller agreements)

• Experience conducting intellectual property, technology, software, data privacy, and cybersecurity due diligence for sophisticated corporate transactions

• Experience advising clients on open-source software licensing, software commercialization, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technology issues is strongly preferred

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated technology transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
