Intellectual Property Assistants are administrative professionals who support patent attorneys, trademark agents, or intellectual property (IP) departments in managing and protecting intellectual property rights. Their duties often include preparing and filing legal documents, maintaining IP databases, managing deadlines, and communicating with clients and governmental agencies. They play a critical role in ensuring that patent, trademark, and copyright filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with all legal requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intellectual property assistant?

To thrive as an Intellectual Property Assistant, you need a solid understanding of intellectual property law, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, often supported by a relevant degree or paralegal certification. Familiarity with IP management software, electronic filing systems, and docketing tools is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate filings and interact with clients and legal professionals effectively. • Uphold Parkbridge and QuadReal's mission, vision, and values, serving as a brand and cultural ambassador to residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public.
  • Professionally and courteously handle all inquiries, feedback, complaints, or concerns.
  • Interact with residents in a diplomatic, respectful, and solutionoriented manner.
  • Foster and promote a strong customer service culture among all staff.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of related general maintenance experience; experience working in the hotel or campground industry is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater systems and related issues; Water Operator Certification is considered an asset.
  • Valid Gclass driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, days, nights, and emergency callins as required.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, contractors, the public, and residents.
  • Familiarity with smartphone and tablet technology and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis.

Based on the position, QuadReal offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to the base pay, which may include a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, pension plan, and paid time off.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
