Job Title: PCIS Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PCIS Engineer (Process Control & Instrumentation Engineer) to support process plant operations by troubleshooting, designing, commissioning, and optimizing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial process plants, instrumentation design, PLC/SCADA systems, and electrical distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot power, instrumentation, and control system issues and support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  • Develop engineering packages including instrument datasheets, I/O lists, instrument lists, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
  • Design and specify process instrumentation, control panels, PLC/SCADA systems, MCCs, VFDs, and LV electrical distribution systems.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, construction teams, and offshore engineering teams throughout design, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation, safety reviews, and production improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings, vendor coordination, procurement support, and after-hours plant support as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in Process Control & Instrumentation Engineering within industrial/process plant environments.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, MCCs, VFDs, industrial instrumentation, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Fisher Valves, Rosemount Transmitters, Micro Motion/E+H Flowmeters, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell control systems, and industrial networks.
  • Knowledge of NEC, UL508A, NFPA70E, Machine Safety (CAT 3), and system commissioning/validation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
