ABOUT OUR TEAM
At Immuta, the Site Reliability Engineering team defines what reliability means at scale. We are responsible for building and operating the infrastructure that supports Immuta's cloud platform, enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable services efficiently. The team partners closely with Engineering and Security to improve automation, platform resiliency, observability, and operational excellence across cloud environments.
We focus on designing scalable systems, automating operational workflows, and improving the developer experience through internal tooling and infrastructure standards. As Immuta continues to grow, the SRE team plays a key role in ensuring platform stability, performance, and compliance for enterprise-scale environments.
YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will take ownership of critical infrastructure systems and lead initiatives that improve automation, scalability, and observability across Immuta's platform. This role includes participating in a shared on-call rotation to help maintain production reliability and support timely incident response and resolution. You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and help evolve infrastructure practices across cloud environments.
You will also play a key role in improving developer experience by building and maintaining internal platforms, tools, and workflows that enable engineering teams to ship software reliably and efficiently. This position is well suited for an experienced systems engineer who enjoys hands-on technical problem-solving while helping shape the direction of the SRE function.
This role is based in our Columbus, OH office and requires in-office attendance at least three days per week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives that improve platform scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency
  • Design and maintain Terraform modules and Kubernetes deployments that support highly available infrastructure
  • Build operational tooling and automation that improves software deployment processes and reduces manual effort
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation and contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and postmortem analysis
  • Improve observability through enhancements to monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
  • Partner with Security teams to implement infrastructure policies, guardrails, and operational best practices
  • Lead automation and modernization efforts across CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure workflows
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, playbooks, and "paved road" solutions that improve developer experience
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in reliability engineering, automation, and infrastructure operations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 5-8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or related roles
  • Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt, and cloud-native infrastructure environments
  • Proficiency with scripting or development languages such as Golang, Python, or Bash
  • Experience managing production and staging infrastructure environments across cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational tooling
  • Understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident management practices
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security standards and infrastructure compliance considerations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering and Security teams
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and contributing to infrastructure improvements at scale

$150,000 - $165,000 a year

The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, experience level, skill set, and training. The range shown above reflects the good-faith hiring range for this role at the time of posting, consistent with applicable state and local pay-transparency laws. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future to reflect market changes.
This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable pay, or equity, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and other applicable company programs.
