Position Overview

Integro Physical Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. This full-time role is vital to our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and facilitating positive recovery experiences. In this position, you will play a crucial role in implementing tailored rehabilitation programs that help patients restore mobility and enhance their quality of life.

Our Ridgefield location is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and provides a supportive environment where teamwork and continuous improvement are at the forefront of our operations.

Work Environment

This role is performed onsite within a hospital setting, offering a collaborative environment where PTAs work closely with Physical Therapists (PTs), medical staff, and other healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed to foster patient-centric care, enabling our team to create effective treatment plans and closely monitor patient progress. The typical schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet engaging work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of individualized patient care by implementing established therapy plans under the guidance of the supervising PT.
  • Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and mobility training tailored to their specific recovery goals.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, providing essential feedback to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and create comprehensive home exercise programs to promote independence and recovery.
  • Contribute actively to a collaborative treatment environment, participating in team meetings and engaging with co-workers to refine care approaches.
  • Ensure all equipment and therapy areas are maintained in a safe and organized manner to uphold clinic standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Integro, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and general physical therapy needs. Your ability to adapt treatment approaches will be essential in addressing various patient challenges and promoting individualized care plans that lead to successful recovery outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field is required.
  • An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain.
  • A genuine passion for rehabilitation and helping patients through their journey to recovery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient education and support.
