Job description

A fast-growing, digital-first commercial bank is seeking an Embedded Banking Integration Engineer to help scale and support its embedded banking platform. Built on modern cloud-native infrastructure, the organization delivers innovative banking and payment solutions to fintech partners and small-to-medium-sized businesses.
This role plays a key part in onboarding fintech partners, managing technical integrations, and ensuring programs launch smoothly while maintaining strong operational, compliance, and risk standards expected within a regulated banking environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the full onboarding and integration lifecycle for fintech partners, from contract execution through production launch.
Act as the primary technical and operational contact for partner product, engineering, and operations teams.
Coordinate API integrations, testing, certification, and production readiness across payment rails including ACH, wires, card networks, RTP, and FedNow.
Manage implementation timelines, dependencies, launch milestones, and overall readiness processes.
Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve integration challenges.
Design and document scalable operational workflows and integration procedures.
Collaborate closely with internal Technology, Compliance, Risk, BSA/AML, Legal, Operations, and Payments teams to ensure onboarding requirements are completed successfully.
Support internal approval processes and cross-functional launch coordination.
Ensure integrations align with third-party risk management standards, regulatory expectations, and internal policies.
Oversee go-live activities and production deployments.
Assist with post-launch stabilization and transition programs to relationship management or operational teams.
Monitor early-stage partner performance and resolve operational or technical issues as needed.
Support implementation of new products and expanded capabilities as partner programs scale.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in embedded banking, fintech, payments, financial services integrations, implementation, or technical program management.
Strong understanding of APIs, banking infrastructure, and payment systems.
Experience managing complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Background working within a bank, fintech company, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider, or payments organization.
Familiarity with embedded banking architecture and payment ecosystems, including:
Core banking platforms
ACH, wire transfers, RTP, FedNow, and card processing
Ledgering systems and settlement workflows
Understanding of regulatory and compliance expectations, including third-party risk management and BSA/AML requirements.
