Job Summary
Responsible for the development, administration, and operational monitoring of the interface and integration point for SAP applications. Configuration tools primarily focused in SAP Process Orchestration/Process Integration and/or SAP Integration Suite.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide 24X7 primary and/or secondary support for web services, B2B file transfers and other intergration methods for interfaces considered core or mission critical to the business. Coordinate maintenance activities which may include release schedules for one or more functional areas. (40% of time)
  • Lead complex SAP integrations collaborating with Business Systems Analysts and/or Business Partners to develop integration specifications. Function as the Integrations Lead on large projects; may lead multiple concurrent projects. (30% of time)
  • Support all phases of SDLC by producing required documentation and estimates; oversee and manage deliverables produced by junior staff. (15% of time)
  • Work with the Basis support team to configure and tune the integration infrastructure for optimal performance. Design and validate the integration architectural approach for proposed solutions based on SAP best practices. (10% of time)
  • Perform other dutes as assigned. (5% of time)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Considered a subject matter expert in their technical discipline; mentor and direct junior staff; provide feedback to manager on junior staff's performance.
  • Comprehends technical design specifications and possess knowledge of development tools and technologies in support of the Information Technology architecture.
  • Authors technical design specifications for projects.
  • Understands project plans and can clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines. Develop project plans and partner with Project Managers to develop project documentation.
  • Working knowledge of business software applications and relevant hardware. Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Effectively presents information to their team, department, and business areas.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalency
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline.
      Minimum of 4 years of development and support in the SAP XI/PO/PI platform, focused on one or more of the following:
      IDOC integrations
      SFTP-PGP
      ABAP Proxy/RFC
      ALE Integrations
      Web Services
      REST
  • Prefer minimum of 2 years in development and troubleshooting of:
    SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)/HANA Cloud Integration (HCI)
    iFlows
    ABAP
  • ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
    Preferred: SAP professional certification in one of the specific disiplines lists above.
