Job description

Integration Technician
We are looking for an Integration Technician for our Westbury, NY facility. In this role you will provide local technical services and support to Customers, Systems Engineering and all internal support departments. Integrate, install, calibrate and troubleshoot Oerlikon Metco Thermal Spray equipment and components. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assignments and goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Out of office travel including international approximately 80% of the time.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Install, integrate, test and train customers on specialized systems including robotic programming, interfacing and vacuum systems.
  • Test, analyze, and adjust precision electromechanical instruments. Maintain and adjust electrical and mechanical components utilized with the Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment.
  • Calibrate and adjust components and instruments in accordance with established ISO / Oerlikon Metco engineered standards.
  • Complete calibration reports in accordance to ISO certifications. Complete service reports indicating cause and resolution of problems encountered.
  • Complete daily time sheets and expense reports.
  • Complete customer telephone technical reports.

Your Profile:
  • 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience preferred- thermal spray experience a plus.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to field service and customer service support responsibilities.
  • Associates or Bachelor's is a plus; experience may substitute.
  • Many of the top customers serviced are defense contractors, must have the background ability to get security clearance needed to work at these facilities and US Citizenship.
  • Excellent communications skills, excellent customer relations.
  • Must be able to travel 80%, which includes domestic and international assignments.
  • Vacuum system experience helpful.

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $31.00 to $39.00 per hour Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
