Job description

About the Role
Are you a strategic problem-solver who thrives on bringing complex AV projects to life? We're looking for an experienced AV Project Manager (AV-PM) to lead audiovisual integration projects from planning through closeout-ensuring technical precision, budget alignment, and seamless execution every step of the way.
In this role, you'll collaborate with Field Project Managers, Foremen, and installation teams to design and deliver high-performing AV systems across multiple concurrent projects. You'll play a critical role in maintaining quality, driving schedules, and supporting our operations team as we deliver world-class AV solutions.
What You'll Do - Plan Strategically. Execute Precisely. Deliver Confidently.
  • Review all AV projects with the Field Project Manager (FPM) and define execution strategies that align with client requirements and internal standards.
  • Oversee 10-15 active AV projects, balancing priorities, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
  • Conduct internal project kick-off meetings to align teams on scope, deliverables, and client expectations.
  • Identify and track all project-specific requirements, certifications, and installation skill sets needed for success.
  • Review all Bills of Material (BOMs) to confirm accuracy and completeness before purchase.
  • Coordinate with Design Engineers to address long-lead materials and substitution options.
  • Partner with the FPM to request manpower, schedule resources, and ensure all specialty tools and materials are staged before work begins.
  • Align material deliveries and manpower planning with project schedules and task sequencing.
  • Review Site Safety Plans (SSPs) with Foremen, Lead Technicians, and Team Leads.
  • Set clear quality expectations for each project and perform periodic field audits to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain critical timelines through proactive communication and scheduling coordination.
  • Develop and track completion checklists and room-by-room sign-offs to ensure every detail meets spec.
  • Provide mentorship and corrective guidance when needed, turning challenges into learning opportunities.
  • Serve as the communication link between field teams, engineering, and the FPM.
  • Document and escalate any scope changes, additional requests, or design modifications.
  • Coordinate change orders and ensure all additional work is properly captured and approved.
  • Support project acceptance and client training alongside the FPM.
  • Review unused equipment lists, coordinating transfers or RMAs as appropriate.
  • Ensure all punch list items are completed, documented, and accepted.
  • Deliver all closeout materials-including documentation, test results, and as-builts-to the FPM.

What You Bring
  • Deep understanding of AV systems integration, installation techniques, and commissioning best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple AV projects simultaneously with demonstrated success in schedule, scope, and budget control.
  • Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, AV signal flow, and project documentation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with audio DSP configuration, IP networking, and device commissioning.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in AV project management or systems integration accepted.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills) and working knowledge of tools like Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Procore, or Autodesk preferred.

Why Join Us?
  • Impact: Play a key role in delivering complex AV solutions that enhance how people connect, collaborate, and communicate.
  • Leadership: Guide high-performing project teams and set the standard for technical excellence.
  • Growth: Develop your career in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment with opportunities to lead and innovate.
  • Culture: Join a collaborative team that values professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Perks: Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the resources to help you succeed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Typical office and jobsite conditions including sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 75 lbs).
  • Work may include periodic site visits, requiring use of ladders or lifts.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to support project activities and client meetings.
